Strengthening Democracy
It has long been the case that our leaders represent the corporations and the ultra-wealthy, they do not represent us. Through unlimited campaign contributions, groups like the NRA and pharmaceutical companies are effectively able to bribe politicians to pass legislation favorable to their interests. Together we will:
- Ban corporate PACS in Massachusetts
- Establish public financing of all elections
- Ban government officials from serving on corporate boards or investing in stocks
- Mandate reasonable amounts of voting locations per district
- Make Mail-In-Voting available and easily accessible in all elections
- Enact Rank Choice Voting and give third parties access to public funding, debates and ballots
- Make voting records of State Legislators readily accessible on a public website
- Establish a commision to investigate any allegations of bigotry, etc. in any Massachusetts public school and deal with those allegations in a very transparent process
